Who we are
Wardrobed is a private, appointment-based wardrobe service in London, founded and run by Daniel. For data protection purposes, Wardrobed is the controller of the personal information described in this notice.
You can contact Wardrobed at hello@wardrobed.uk.
Information we use
The information Wardrobed may use includes:
- your name, email address, telephone number and any other contact details you choose to provide;
- the contents of your enquiry and subsequent correspondence, including information about your wardrobe, preferences, circumstances or plans that you decide to share;
- if you become a client, appointment details and the service, billing and payment records needed to provide and administer the work; and
- limited technical information recorded when the website is accessed, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time. This may be held in hosting or security logs.
Most personal information comes directly from you when you email, speak with Wardrobed or work with Daniel. Technical information is generated when you use the website.
How and why we use it
Enquiries and preparing to work together
Contact information and enquiry details are used to reply to you, understand what you are looking for and discuss a possible appointment. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Providing the service
If you become a client, information is used to arrange appointments, provide the agreed wardrobe service, communicate with you and administer payment. The legal basis is performance of the contract with you.
Records and legal responsibilities
Certain financial and business records may be kept to meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations. Information may also be used where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. The legal bases are compliance with a legal obligation and Wardrobed’s legitimate interests in protecting the business.
Website security and operation
Limited technical data may be used to deliver the website, diagnose problems and protect it from misuse. The legal basis is Wardrobed’s legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website.
Wardrobed does not use your information for solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
How long we keep it
Information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected.
- Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are normally kept for no more than 12 months after the last contact.
- Client correspondence and service records are kept during the relationship and afterwards only for as long as needed for follow-up, accounting, tax or legal purposes. Relevant business records may usually be kept for up to six years.
- Technical logs are retained only for the period needed by the hosting and security providers to operate and protect the website.
The exact period can vary where the law requires longer retention or an issue needs to be resolved.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of use, transfer of information, or withdrawal of consent where consent is the legal basis.
Your right to object: you may object to use of your personal information where Wardrobed relies on legitimate interests. You also have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Wardrobed does not currently operate an email marketing list.
These rights do not apply in every situation. To make a request, email hello@wardrobed.uk. Wardrobed may need to confirm your identity before responding.
Contact and complaints
Questions, requests or concerns about personal information can be sent to hello@wardrobed.uk. Wardrobed would welcome the opportunity to resolve any concern directly.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator. Details are available at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint .
